Modern ceramics for elegant living spaces
I did not understand immediately that I was making 3D objects.
It changed everything, shapes and volumes created sculptures, painting emphasized volumes and unified the artwork, negative spaces could be moved, and material became a tactile experience.
My forms are sleek and fluid, my work minimalist. Most of my pieces are hand painted, with a brush stroke, I infused life and movement. There are very few possibilities for corrections, therefore, my decorations are a snapshot of a creative moment. My color palette is limited as I don’t want my pots to compete with each other for attention, rather collaborate. I want them to reflect peace and serenity.
I love to bring contrast, in colors, but also in touch. It is important to me that the surface evokes different feelings, and so, I use glaze sparingly to allow the clay to express itself under your fingers when they go from glazed to raw parts, making you appreciate more aspects of the pottery language.
I strive to make timeless and elegant pieces that bring peacefulness to your home and help create an inspiring environment.
